CFG Photography
My photography is rooted in a profound respect for the natural world. Birds, with their fleeting movements and quiet resilience, have always felt like mirrors of something greater—fragile yet enduring, ordinary yet extraordinary. I strive not only to capture their beauty, but to create moments of connection that remind us of our shared place in nature. Each photograph is an invitation to pause, look closer, and feel the subtle conversations happening all around us in the wild.

The eye behind the lens
Hi, I’m Carmen.
After nearly 40 years as an educator, I found a new passion in photography upon retirement. Drawn to the beauty and intricacy of the natural world, I now focus on photographing birds in their natural habitats, highlighting both their behavior and elegance. Photography has become a way for me to keep learning, observing, and connecting with nature. My work reflects a deep appreciation for the outdoors and a desire to share the quiet, fleeting moments that reveal the essence of bird life. Every outing with my camera is an opportunity to grow, discover, and stay inspired by the wild.
